The core element in Kal Mansur’s work is a sculptural object he calls “fodder”. This shape is made of completely clear and hard-edged material. Mansur embeds fluorescent pigments into it which project through the edges. He paints the surrounding elements and encases the work within a translucent acrylic panel. The completed piece appears to change as light strikes its internal elements, enabling the viewer to visually travel through the composition.
