The Knapped artworks are pigmented and carved epoxy slabs. Mansur pours liquid resin and uses time and temperature to create layered mounds of colour. Using a milling machine, he carves into the slab, creating topographies and excavating layers of colour. These elaborate processes result in an ethereal, translucent object, appearing to be a relic excavated from the future.
