RESIDENTIAL COMMISSIONS IN 2025

FEBRUARY 2025

Two works from the Valkyrie series (32” x 32” each), commissioned for a private residence in New York City

This commission began when a client sent their interior designer a photograph of two of my works seen at an art fair. The images became the starting point for a pair of new, related pieces made for their home in Manhattan.

MARCH 2025

Future Summary (38” x 38”), commissioned by clients in Connecticut

This piece was commissioned by Connecticut-based clients we met at an art fair in September. They were elated to discover that they could commission a custom piece. They were drawn to the Future Summary series and shared images of their wall to guide the scale. From three initial digital sketches, we refined the colour palette and arrived at the final composition.

APRIL 2025

Future Summary (48” x 48”), commissioned by clients in Manhattan

When the couple discovered an already sold piece at the Affordable Art Fair, they commissioned a similar work at a comparable scale. Following a series of digital sketches, we arrived at the final composition. The work was delivered by artverb with white-glove service.

JULY 2025

Future Summary (55” x 55”), commissioned by clients in Toronto

A commission for a Toronto-based couple who first encountered my work during a talk I gave at Tendril Studio early last year. They had been searching for the right piece for their home for some time, and this composition emerged from an initial house visit. The piece is minimal, monochromatic, and inflected by quiet lines of colour that intersect and diverge.

AUGUST 2025

Sojourns (one at 48” diameter, one at 32” diameter), commissioned by clients in Toronto

The clients first encountered the work at Art Toronto in 2024 and reached out once their home renovations were complete. They were drawn to certain colour palettes, and specified previous works for inspiration. We delivered and installed these works in their home in Toronto’s East end.

NOVEMBER 2025

Plateau (41” x 71”), commissioned by a client in New York

The client first encountered the work at the Affordable Art Fair in New York and soon inquired about a large-scale commission. She shared drawings of the installation wall, which guided our discussion around scale in relation to the surrounding space. Drawing on past works she selected as references, I developed three initial digital studies, from which the final composition was chosen. artverb provided white-glove delivery from Toronto to Manhattan.

MARCH 2024

Sojourn (40” diameter), commissioned by clients in upstate New York

This was the couple’s first commission and the largest work in their home. Drawn to an earlier commission, they used it as a point of departure for the final work. Evocative of a sunset, the piece now greets visitors at the home’s entryway.
